Soprano Lauren Frey is from Pittsburgh, PA. Lauren was commended for her performance as Musetta in Opera Western Reserve's production of La Boheme. She "brilliantly negotiated the intricacies of her bel canto role with sparkling ease." In her famous "Musetta's Waltz" aria, Frey "depicted Musetta beautifully," while her ensemble vocals were "absolutely stunning" (The Classical Cleveland). Cleveland's A Musical Eye described her performance as "saucy."
In her 2018/19 season, Lauren returned to Opera Steamboat for her role debut as Foreign Princess in Rusalka. She made her debut with the company in 2018 as Donna Anna in Don Giovanni. Earlier that year, Lauren made her role debut as Violetta in St Petersburg Opera's cover matinee performance of La Traviata.
Tenor Christopher Longo is from Tampa, Florida. Christopher was praised for his performance as the Chevalier de la Force, in Eastman Opera Theatre's award-winning production of The Dialogues of the Carmelites. His "unperturbed purity of tone, and precise pitch placement sharpened a strong dramatic presence.” (Democrat & Chronicle)
Most recently, Christopher performed the Prince in Opera Steamboat's cover concert of Rusalka with orchestra. Earlier in the 2018-19 season, Longo originated the role of the Fisherman in Opera Tampa's world-premiere of Anton Coppola’s Lady Swanwhite. He debuted with the company in 2018 as the Defendant in Gilbert & Sullivan’s Trial By Jury.
